Quill and Scroll dinner
The Twenty-first annual Quill and Scroll Dinner and Induction Ceremony was held Thursday evening, April 24th in Founder’s Hall. Quill and Scroll is an international honor society that celebrates the intellectual and artistic achievements of students by honoring writers, artists and photographers from high school publications.
Andrew Lutz, advisor of the Unknown Muse, was Master of Ceremonies. Irv Taylor, advisor to Excalibur, Laura Wengel, advisor to The Voice, and Laurence Bostian, advisor toThe Fourth Estate all spoke as well.
Many of GSB’s finest writers and artists were honored and inducted into Quill and Scroll during this moving and beautiful candlelit ceremony. New inductees included members from all campus publications. The Unknown Muse, GSB’s literary magazine inducted two new members including next year’s Editor in Chief. The Voice, an on-line, Op-Ed style medium and the newest addition to campus publications added its Editor in Chief and founder to the list of honorees. The yearbook, Excalibur, welcomed six new members. The Fourth Estate, GSB’s newspaper, inducted a record eight students at this year’s ceremony. The returning members, all of whom are graduating seniors and have made tremendous contributions to the cultural life of GSB, were also honored.
